LAP BOOK SERIES

LAP publishes two book series:
Critical Currents
Latin American Perspectives in the Classroom

Critical Currents in Latin American Perspectives Series:

Emphasizing broad studies of Latin America, this series explores the central issues that confront the region today. The series includes both syntheses and cutting-edge research on the institutional, political, economic, and social forces that are shaping Latin America. Theoretically challenging, issue-oriented, cogently argued, often controversial, and always intellectually stimulating, books in the series will appeal to scholars, advanced students, and general readers alike.

Latin American Perspectives in the Classroom Series

This series makes content from Latin American Perspectives available for classroom use. The series introduces students to the important themes and issues about Latin America in a form accessible to nonspecialists. The books in the series contain selected LAP articles trimmed to their essential core and organized into teachable sections with both general and section introductions to contextualize the concepts and topics that follow.
